Playboy’s next boss? Maybe CEO of Register’s owner

Playboy Enterprises Inc. is expected to offer Scott Flanders, president and chief executive of Freedom Communications Inc., its vacant CEO post as early as this week, according to people familiar with the matter. No contract has been signed, and the intended hire could still fall apart. But after a couple of recent visits to the Playboy Mansion, Mr. Flanders has emerged as the clear favorite, the people said. A spokeswoman for Playboy, based in Chicago, declined to comment. Freedom, of Irvine, Calif., couldn’t be reached to comment.

When the magazine does feature Latinas, it will not give descriptions of them or short little bios as it does with the Anglo bunnies.
Mr. Flanders should do some housecleaning of the sloppy, inept “news reporters” at the OCR. Better yet, perhaps Mr. Hefner will entertain comments from readers about this debacle of a media forum before making him the front runner.
If he gets the job, let’s hope that Greenhut goes with him.
I was a Santa Ana Register (now the Orange County Regster) carrier in the 60’s. To see how far things have come. In the 60’s the owner of the Register wouldn’t even spell the work SEX in the paper. It was always S_X.

Another magazine that will go into BK in the next few years. But dont worry..Super Obama will come to the rescue.
